Camp Policy

Fees & Cancellations

• The camp fee is due in full upon enrollment.

• We understand plans can change. If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible. We offer a 50% refund for cancellations made more than 21 days before the camp start date. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations made within 21 days of camp.

• If Songbird Rising must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued.

Required Forms

• To ensure a safe and smooth start for everyone, all required paperwork must be completed in full at the time of enrollment. For safety reasons, we cannot allow campers to attend until their paperwork is complete. We cannot offer refunds or pro-rated fees for any camp days missed due to incomplete paperwork.

Partnering with Parents

• We're a team! Here’s how you can help make camp a great experience - 

  • Be Prepared: Help your camper arrive each day with their instrument, lunch, two snacks, water, sunscreen, and appropriate clothing and items for the day's activities. 

  • Be Punctual: Please drop off and pick up your camper on time. If you know you'll be late for either, please send us a quick message.

  • Stay in Touch: Keep us in the loop about any changes that might affect your child's experience at camp. We're here to help.

Camper Code

• We ask all campers to be respectful and cooperative with fellow campers and staff. Remember to bring your instrument and any other required gear every day so you're ready for the fun! We ask campers to:

  • Follow all directions from camp staff

  • Use kind words, and be respectful to each other

  • Help take care of the instruments, learning materials, and camp space.

Dismissal Policy

• Our top priority is a safe and positive environment for everyone. We reserve the right to dismiss a camper for behavior that is unmanageable, disruptive, or poses a safety risk. This also applies to illness.

• If we call for an early pickup, please arrange for your child to be picked up within one hour.

• No refund will be provided for camp days missed due to dismissal.

Late Pickup Policy

• Camp ends promptly at 4:00 PM, and we do not offer after-care.

• We understand that delays happen, so we offer a 10-minute grace period. Pickups after 4:10 PM will incur a late fee of $30 for the first 15 minutes, plus $2 per minute thereafter. This fee must be paid in cash, check, or Venmo before the camper returns the next day.

• The lead teacher's phone will serve as the official timekeeping device for this fee.

Attendance & The Big Show!

• Camp is a team effort, building towards a fantastic final show! Because each camper plays a role, consistent attendance is essential for a successful performance. Please make every effort to be here every day, especially for the final show.
