Violin & Viola Lessons
Since 2009, Mrs. Laura has been teaching violin lessons in Hyde Park, Austin TX, to aspiring musicians of all ages. She has a wealth of teaching experience to draw upon including work with the UT String Project, LongHorn Summer Camp, Austin Sound Waves El Sistema and of course our own, Songbird Rising String Camp. She was educated in violin performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama before moving to Austin to complete a Masters in Music and Human Learning at the Butler School of Music, University of Texas at Austin. With attention to her student's needs and their potential at the forefront, Laura is a dedicated teacher.

How do I get Started?
1. Contact Mrs Laura using the contact form at the bottom of the page, let her know of your interest.
2. Young students will be invited to have a free 20-30 min trial lesson. (Instrument NOT needed)
3. Once lessons are confirmed, a regular weekly lesson time will be scheduled.
How old does a student need to be to enroll?
Songbird Rising enrolls students as young as 3 years old with no upper limit. It is the willingness and readiness for learning that matters.
I don't have an instrument. Where do i get one?
Mrs Laura will give you information on where to get an instrument during the enrollment process.
